This part of the Which Network site is very much a community offering, so please feel free to share any tips on marketing or running a business you may have with the rest of us in the financial services family. The fact of the matter is that if you look at the sector as a whole and the huge amounts of cash pumped into marketing direct products by banks and insurance companies, along with the big price comparison sites now such as “Money Supermarket” and “Go Compare”, these are your real competition not other small brokers and financial advisers such as yourself so helping each other makes good business sense, rather than just a nice concept.

The title says it all really but although ignorance is bliss (ask the government) I felt it only right to let you know what the Adviser Community is all about. Basically it is aimed squarely at Independent Mortgage Brokers and Financial Advisers. Put together principally by me (Gary Watts) my background is about 18 years as a small business owner, with 4 years of this as an independent mortgage broker, and then another 5 years as a business development Manager for one of the major networks, who have now gone out of business (not my fault,).
Because I have always struggled to feign a grey suit image (not that there is anything
wrong with a grey suit, I’ve owned 6 of them) you might find that the some articles
are a bit off the wall, or controversial, but if you stick with it you will definitely
find the odd nugget amongst the iron Pyrite (look it up in Wikipedia). I’ve been
