                     Mortgage Support Network

                                       History and Information.

Mortgage Support Network was officially launched in 2003 however its frame

work was established in 1996 is one of the pioneers of a wholly dedicated

mortgage network.  Founder members of Mortgage Support Network are

Simon James and David Collins who also set up under the same group of

companies Agency Mortgage Services Ltd, The Mortgage Advisory Service

Ltd and Harrison Murray estate agency.

October 2010 - Mortgage Support Network have teamed up with Conti to provide referral services for overseas mortgages for the networks Appointed Representatives.

June 2009 - Managing Director Jason Graham leaves Mortgage Support Network by mutual consent.

October 2008 - Mortgage Support Network team up with Towergate to give it’s Appointed Representatives access to the insurers buy to let insurance range.

February 2007 - Laurence Brown is appointed as National Sales Manager in a push by the network to increase it’s Appointed Representative base.

October 2006 - Mortgage Support Network appointed Tom Hold as Marketing Manager.

March 2005 - In another joint venture with SimplyBiz, Mortgage Support Network launched Broker Support Services, again targeted at providing compliance support, but also high proc fees for DA brokers.  This was subsequently sold to SimplyBiz in 2008.

September 2004 - Mortgage Support Network receives full authorisation from the FSA for it’s mortgage network.

April 2004 - Mortgage Support Network joined forces with SimplyBiz to create Mortgage Support Direct, a support organisation aimed at brokers who have chosen the Directly Authorised route to business rather than working through a network.

March 2003 - Peter Ransome is appointed as a Sales Director in the run up to mortgage regulation.  Peter previously spent 20 years with Scottish Amicable where he was the National Sales Manager for appointed representatives.

Following the departure of the Managing Director, Jason Graham in 2009 Peter Ransome took over the day to day running of the network along with Jo Porter in her role as Compliance Director. Mortgage Support Network also trade with Mortgage1, which is a separate company within the group and offers a broker desk and packaging facility.
