How do we rate Mortgage and Financial Networks?
Our research begins with a look at the marketing literature produced by each of the mortgage or financial networks, for many advisors this would be only research undertaken, but for Which Network Ltd this is only a place to start. This exercise is then followed up by an information gathering meeting with the people on the inside of the mortgage networks to find out how it is they physically accomplish what they claim they do in their marketing material.
We then consider published financial information and accounts from Companies House, however being naturally cynical and realising that the accounts of both mortgage networks and financial networks could be up to eighteen months old we also commission risk analysis reports from a firm of specialist accountants. In the current economic situation we realise that it is impossible to say any mortgage network, financial network or any other business for that matter is 100% secure however, we go to extraordinary lengths to make sure we have all the financial information on the networks we deal with.
Finally we consult our knowledge database to see what other mortgage brokers and financial advisers, the mortgage network’s current AR,s and the mortgage press think of them alongside the results of the last mystery shopping exercises we undertook on that particular mortgage or financial network.
Only after all of these these exhaustive enquiries do we give them the “Which Network”confidence rating with 10 being the highest rating (we have never awarded a 10 yet), and 3 or under signifying a mortgage network or financial network which you really don’t want to know.
