Home Loan Partnership

Home Loan Partnership Network, History and Information

Home Loan Partnership or more accurately HomeLoan Partnership is a trading name of HL Partnership limited.

Often thought of as one of the newer networks HomeLoan Partnership is in fact one of the more established networks.  When compared for example of Home of Choice who opened for business in 2005, it can be seen that starting in 2001 Homeloan Partnership were in fact one of the pioneers of wholly dedicated mortgage networks.

The founder members were packaging institutions Solent Mortgage Services, Mortgage Master and High Street Home Loans. HomeLoan Partnership aimed for the none-conforming and adverse market initially but changed its focus following an obvious gap in the market place to offering ancillary services.  These changes meant that the business rapidly evolved into a dedicated mortgage network.

HomeLoan Partnership also started a training academy for CeMAP and MAQ qualifications in run up to Mortgage Regulation.

HomeLoan Partnership is a privately owned company having four major share holders, one of which is Chris Tanner who with one of the former directors engineered a management buyout of HomeLoan Partnership back in 2006. He has developed the proposition over the following years with Stephen Maskens and Martin Cave (Martin recently retired).

Prior to joining HomeLoan Partnership, Chris Tanner worked for Allied Dunbar IFA division as the National Mortgage Sales Manager. He then Joined Blevins Franks in 2001 and was appointed Managing Director (mortgages) 2005. Stephen Maskens spent 11years at RSA as a Group Manager and 5 years at MGM as the Manager of MGM Home Finance where he designed and implemented the mortgage proposition.
