HLP was established in 2001 by a group of packaging companies with the objective of
delivering guidance to their user base on newly introduced MCCB regulation. HLP were
one of the only companies at the time to operate an “umbrella” MCCB number for mortgage
brokers.

On the run up to FSA Mortgage regulation, the packager owners sold the majority share in the company to a subsidiary of Money Supermarket who funded the transition to a fully regulated mortgage network.
